The Birth, and build of RP's "Pumper Automag"

By Brent Hoefling AKA RamboPreacher PoG#6- "A Player, Not A Pro"

Since returning to my Automag "roots" last year (upon the discovery of the level 10 Superbolt), and considering my "old-school" ways and preference of playing pump-paintball, I decided that I would go ahead and get the parts necessary (if available) to build a pump Automag.

I had already had accumulated allot of parts as I was working to build a couple of Automags for friends.  I had bought the pump-kit from Airgun.com some time ago (sans pump rod), and once I located everything, I began my journey.  I had already been familiarizing myself with what is necessary to build this magpump, and the rod seemed to be the elusive part missing.  After only a short search at the AO, I had discovered someone that could make these.

SilverFox had been very helpful in making this rod for me (and others).  It fit perfectly and though I had to bend the end up just a hair more (it was hitting the back of the big hole in the body), it works great.

Then, according to this .PDF found at Airgun.com - it looked like I needed to get this elusive "black bumper".  After talking a bit with AO's Muzikman, who has had some experience building a magpump of his own, he told be that the blue bumper would work, but I would have to cut it down so that it fit in side the spring, and even if I didn't cut it down that it might still work, but would probably be harder to activate the bolt.

Here is my picture story of RP's pumper Automag (the pictures a links to larger views, hit your browsers back button to return to this page):
